Papers of Alan Cheuse [manuscript], 1089-1990.

The papers contain correspondence, an interview with Cheuse by Neila Seshachari, the short story "Mortals" by Tobias Wolff, reviews of Cheuse's "The Tennessee waltz," Cheuse's reviews of books by other authors, an essay by Cheuse on book reviewing and some printed miscellaneous material. George Garrett is the chief correspondent. Other authors writing to Cheuse about their work include Kurt Vonnegut, Michael Mewshaw and Douglas Day. There are also letters from John Aldridge, Frederick Busch, James Dickey, Oakley Hall, Luis Harss, Barry Lopez, Richard McCann, Hamilton Morse, Joyce Carol Oates, Darcey Steinke, John Updike, John Manchip White, Tobias Wolff and Grace Zabriskie.
